Soba Matsuri

English: The day after the Taimatsu festival, there was another festival in the garden of the castle of Matsumoto. This festival is called: Soba matsuri. Even though this festival is way smaller than the Taimatsu fetsival, around 160,000 people visit it every year. This festival lasts 3 days and is all about a Japanese speciality: Soba (noodles made from buckwheat flour)

The weather was great and I had a nice walk in the garden. I had seen the castle before for a few times but never in sunny day light. It looks so different in the sunshine. In some pictures it seems as if either the castle or the background was photoshopt haha!

There were soooo many different food stands that I didn't know what to eat anymore. I had already tried Soba before so I wanted to taste something new. In the end I chose for Okonomiyaki. This is a mix of cabbage, meat, egg, pancakemix (at least that's what it looked like haha), 2 kinds of sauce and fish herbs on top. Sounds weird but it was sooooo good! :D I hope I can make it myself some day :)
