My 5 resolutions for 2019

(English below)

1. Finaly tidying up our home
On December 19th my boyfriend and I became the official owners of the house that we live in now. It feels so good, but there's still a lot that needs to be done! We have many ideas for a new kitchen, painting the walls, buying a new table ect ect. But before we can do all that, we need to sort out all the sh*t that we have. And let me tell you, that's a lot! I'm horrible with throwing things away, because I feel like everything has sentimental value. Last year we tried tidying up the place, but we ended up just moving things from one place to another instead of actualy making space. I have boxes full of stuff that I never look at, but I don't dare to throw away either.
This Christmas I got the book 'The life-changing magic of tidying up' by Marie Kondo and I have to say that it's very inspiring! I have a good feeling that this year we might actualy be able to throw away the stuff we don't need and create our dream home.

2. Less stressing
On Pinterest I read the quote; "Worrying makes you suffer twice" and find this so true! I worry a lot about things that are planned for the near-future and it makes me tired, sad and uninspired. Nothing good comes from worrying about things that you have no control over, that you will need to do anyway and most of the time turn out not to be so bad as you thought! It's a waste of time and energy! So in 2019 I want to worry and stress less and enjoy the present time.

3. Beginning a inspiration book
I actualy only came up with this resolution today. I was having my first tidying-up session when I saw how many magazines I actualy own. Too many! I love to buy magazines, they give me so much inspiration and good vibes. But when I'm done reading they go on the pile of other magazines and I never look at it again. That may sound like enough reason to throw it away, but I'm struggeling because A. I paid arond € 5,- for each magazine and B. there are too many pretty pictures in it. So when I was sitting on the floor with the pile of magazines I suddenly got a idea! Why not go through all the magazines (that will take some time but okay), rip out all the inspiring articles and pictures and put those in one big book. This way I can throw away the magazine and still have the inspiration which I put in the book. Now I only need to buy a dummy to start.

4. Reading more actual books
I had this resolution last year as well and even though I did read a little more, it's not enough. Now I only read when I'm riding the train, but I'd also like to read before going to bed or after work. I saw a challenge to read 100 books in one year. Now that's a bit too much for me haha, but I did create a page in my Bullet Journal to see how many and which books I actualy read in one year.

5. Eating less candy
Ever since I came back from Sri Lanka I ate soooo many snacks and candy. I also didn't go to the gym at all in December. I didn't feel guilty, because December is a month of enjoying food, eating too much and thinking of other things than going to the gym. However my skin and energy level showed the consequences from all this candy eating and snacking. So now that it's January it's time to quit the candy and snacking and focus on the healthy stuff again. I know it'll make me feel a lot better :)
