NL: Het leek mij leuk om zo nu en dan met jullie te delen hoe mijn illustraties tot stand komen. Dit keer is de Furla Metropolis Bag aan de beurt. Ik denk dat ieder meisje wel een Furla tas heeft of wilt hebben ;) Het model van de Metropolis Bag is altijd hetzelfde en vrij simpel, maar omdat er steeds nieuwe opdrukken worden uitgebracht blijft het een leuke en relevante tas. Dit keer koos ik voor een design uit de Urban Glam Jungle collectie:
ENG: I think it's a fun idea to share from time to time with you how I create my illustrations. This time I will share with you the Furla Metropolis Bag. I think every girl wants, or maybe already has, a Furla bag ;) The model of the Metropolis Bag is always the same and quite simple, but because there are constantly new designs available this bag stays relevant. This time I chose to draw one of the Metropolis Bags from the Urban Glam Jungle collection:
Eerst meet ik goed de omtrek van de tas en maak ik een rechthoek. Van daaruit begin ik de basislijnen van de Metropolis tas toe te voegen. Vele van jullie konden op Instagram al direct raden wat het merk van dit tasje was zonder dat ik ook maar iets van details had toegevoegd haha!
First I measure the surrounds of the bag and I draw a big square. From that point on I start drawing the basic bag lines of the Metropolis bag. Many of you already guessed the brand of the bag on my Instagram story by only seeing these basic lines haha!
Vervolgens teken ik het hengsel en voeg ik de details van het stiksel toe. Nu begint het zowaar op een tas te lijken.
Then I add the handle of the bag and start with the details of the stitching. Now it's already starting to look like a real bag.
De fineliner maakt alles meteen een stuk strakker en zorgt ervoor dat het potlood niet meer kan worden uitgeveegd (dat is namelijk het meest irritante dat kan gebeuren :P).
The fineliner makes the bag more sleek and makes sure that you pencil doesn't wiped out (because that it the most annoying thing ever :P)
Nu kan ik rustig het design aan de tas toevoegen. Dit doe ik wel weer met potlood want direct met fineliner tekenen vind ik nog wat riskant. De bladeren staan snel op papier, het is een redelijk makkelijk design om te illustreren.
Now I can easily start adding the design to the bag. This I do with pencil again because I find it too risky to start with fineliner right away. The leafs are done in no time, it's a quite easy design to draw.
Met wat details op de bladeren krijgt het tasje direct een leuke uitstraling.
With the details on the leafs the bag looks so much more fun.
Tadaa! Het resultaat. De bladeren heb ik nog wat verder ingekleurd zodat ze wat meer diepte krijgen. Het was eerst de bedoeling dat het tasje kleur zou krijgen maar eigenlijk vind ik dit zwart/wit design leuker. Ik hou van strakke en minimalistische illustraties <3
Done! This is the result. I added some more dept to the leafs by coloring them in. First I wanted to color the bag but I liked this black and white version better. I love these sleek and clean illustrations <3
